Skills Test 3: Screencasting, EDTC 6432

For our third Skills Test in Computer Authoring, we created a screencast using Screenr. Screencasting was a little challenging, but once I became accustomed to using Screenr, and accepted the inevitable (that I will dislike my voice and there will be a few errors no matter how many times I redo it), it was very doable and much simpler.  The only aspect that remained challenging was that there didn’t appear to be a way to back up the screencast slightly and redo just a portion rather than starting over completely (although the technique may exist and I need to build more skills to find it).

I like this post because Tanna shares both her likes and dislikes about screencasting. She understands the limitations of the tool and will use screencasting where appropriate. Her artifacts demonstrate that she carefully planned her screencast. The screencast itself flows nicely and demonstrates that she knows the needs of her learners.
